New energy tech can be a confusing space for consumers. The standards promoted by the NETCC aim to increase consumer confidence to purchase new energy tech. We will soon be launching a campaign to grow awareness of the Approved Seller badge among consumers looking for new energy tech.
Some state governments offer incentive schemes to encourage uptake of new energy tech. Some of these schemes, such as the Victorian Government's Solar Homes Program, require participating retailers to be New Energy Tech Approved Sellers to help raise consumer protections.
