NETCC Council Meeting - March 2021

This is a summary of the NETCC Council meeting held on 14 July 2022. Communiques of each meeting are produced so that stakeholders can be informed about the work of the Council and its implementation of the Code.

NETCC Webpage

The Council will establish its own website for the Code. In the meantime, there is a dedicated NETCC page on the CEC website. This will include information about the Council, key milestones for NETCC progress, consumer information products, final version of the Code following the Competition Tribunal decision.

The Council will meet on a six-weekly basis.

NETCC Policies

Council agreed that the high-level principles for NETCC funding should be proportionate, fair, scalable, and sustainable, with a specific fee structure to be developed. Draft application and renewal forms were tabled, with a range of other policies being developed, including the compliance and enforcement policies in relation to the NETCC.

Stakeholder communication

Key stakeholders will be identified, and a stakeholder communication plan developed. Council acknowledged the importance of keeping stakeholders informed about the progress of Code implementation.
